Gua berlorong pendek yang menembus bukit ini dibentuk oleh proses pelarutan yang dikendalikan oleh struktur geologi (kekar). Gua terbentuk tidak lama setelah batugamping Formasi Wonosari terangkat dari dasar laut, sekitar 1,8 juta tahun lalu. Tetesan air perkolasi membentuk proto-stalakmit di dasar gua. Penggalian pada sedimen gua menemukan kerangka utuh manusia prasejarah, yang hidup sekitar 10.000 tahun lalu. Untuk keperluan penelitian, gua ini dilengkapi dengan mini museum
This short tunnel cave that penetrates the hill was formed by a dissolution process controlled by the geological structure (joints). The cave was formed not long after the limestone of the Wonosari Formation was uplifted from the seabed, around 1.8 million years ago. Percolating water droplets form proto-stalagmites at the bottom of the cave. Excavations of the cave sediments unearthed intact skeletons of prehistoric humans, who lived about 10,000 years ago. For research purposes, this cave is equipped with a mini museum
