Lembah Kering Purba Giritontro
Lembah-kering ini adalah bagian utara dari sistem Lembah Giritontro-Sadeng. Lereng lembah yang terjal merupakan gawir struktur yang mempunyai tinggi puluhan meter dari dasar lembah, yang memotong batugamping Formasi Wonosari. Kelurusan lembah di beberapa segmen dikendalikan oleh sesar. Pengangkatan pantai selatan Gunung Sewu tidak begitu berpengaruh, sehingga lembah ini tidak memiliki topografi undak.
This dry valley is the northern part of the Giritontro-Sadeng Valley system. The steep slope of the valley is an escarpment of a structure that has a height of tens of meters from the valley floor, which cuts the limestone of the Wonosari Formation. The straightness of the valley in some segments is controlled by faults. The elevation of the south coast of Mount Sewu has no significant effect, so this valley does not have a terraced topography.
Dasar lembah yang dilapisi oleh terra-rossa dimanfaatkan oleh penduduk setempat menjadi lahan pertanian kering. Mereka menanam ketela, jagung dan kacang tanah.
The valley floor which is covered with terra-rossa is utilized by local residents as dry agricultural land. They grow cassava, corn and peanuts.
